INTRODUCTION

The team was formed in 1978 by Dárcio dos Santos, who the Brazilian champion of Formula 2. Darcio is also the man mainly responsible for success of his nephew, Rubens Barrichello. Rubens was first introduced to karting by Darcio and eventually led him to Formula 1.

In January 1997, the Prop. Car team was also the official team for the Opel factory in Germany.
With the Driver Bruno Junqueira ( Racer in Champ Car Series), the team won the championship Formula 3 Sudamericana with six wins. On top of that the team had a fantastic record that saw 10 pole positions and 12 front rows spots.

Prop Car Racing team has since 2005 moved to its new and modern premises. With such experience and devotion to motorsport, it is hard not to soak in the knowledge of prop car race team.

Rubens Barrichello is a Brazilian Formula One race driver. He currently drives for Honda Formula 1 Team. He grew up idolizing the late Ayrton Senna while Senna in return considered Barrichello his protege; as of the 2008 Formula One season Barrichello is the only driver left competing in Formula One to have raced against Senna, and has scored the fifth greatest Drivers' points total in Formula One history. Barrichello drove for Ferrari from 2000 to 2005, as Michael Schumacher's teammate, enjoying considerable success.
