John Walko started driving in SCCA Club Formula Ford in 1994 and became crew chief in SCCA Formula Ford, Formula Continental, Ford Zetec and Star Mazda. His drivers has had 37 podiums in total (Obviously when you're reading this it will have over shot that figure!)

Ever wondered where champions like Michael Schumacher, Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost got their start? Come experience the challenge with us!
John Walko Racing in conjunction with Turn1 Prosports and BeaveRun Motorsports complex can offer a variety of Karting programs utilizing a fleet of 18 Birel Rock Karts and eight Birel KT-100
R30 Karts.
All programs start with a classroom session to discuss the track layout and driving tips. During the session, all participants are fitted with safety equipment provided by Turn1 Prosports. After the classroom session, all participants head to the track for an open practice in the Rock Karts in order to acclimate themselves with track and the equipment.
After the open practice, drivers will have a debrief session with the instructors over a catered lunch in which they can ask questions and get tips on how to improve their performance. After the lunch and debrief break, drivers will participate in a Sprint Race! Perfect for a group of friends
or colleagues!

The difference between the Standard and the Advanced is that the Advanced highly specializes on the quality of individual attention with the maximum of 4 people per event. That means you'll be able to get more detailed attention, higher quality, more track time and of course more fun!
The program will be split into 3 parts.
1. Familiarization
You will be place inside a Sedan car with a professional instructor beside you. All you need to do is to hang on to your seats and let the instructor take you for a ride so that you'll understand the track
2. Warm Up Lap
This time it is time for you to drive. But you will not drive inside the Formula Mazda just yet. You will learn the lines and curves by yourself in a Sedan car with your instructor beside you until you're comfortable with the track
3. The Ultimate Drive
Now the part that you're been waiting for! The ultimate drive in a Formula Mazda car! You'll be in control of all 250hp of the machine with lightweight carbon fibre chassis!
To aid your driving, you'll also have Data acquisition to help you to keep track of your revs and speed. You will also have an on Board camera to enjoy the footage after the event.
