INTRODUCTION

The aim of the Centro could seems ambitious: quality driving. Everybody drives, many
consider the art of driving to be a passion. But only few are able to appreciate the real "pleasure of driving": pleasure that comes from the feeling with the car and with the road. Pleasure that becomes a safe and an aware drive.
This is why Centro Internazionale Guida Sicura and Alfa Romeo collaborated to improving the ability and techniques of drivers and increasing their pleasure of driving.

More than 5.000 participants take part every year and since 1990 about 60000 people
have come to Varano de' Melegari, near Parma (Italy), to improve their quality of driving.

The school also focus programs on performance driving that covers aspects outside of safety to bring out the true potential of the car. These will be high suited to individuals that are enthusiasts of motorsport in general.

The main goal is to improve one's driving qualities and the control of the car in all critical situation that could happen in everyday driving. Participants are divided into groups which will be followed a dedicated Driving-Instructors.

You will learn:
"Negative Driving", or how to control the car in critical situation: panic stop, avoiding an obstacle, controlling the car on slippery surfaces. All these exercise are performed in safe areas, equipped with low grip resins and artificial rain system.

"Positive Driving" in the circuit, to improve smoothness in driving, correct braking and shifting procedures, right lines in curves. A better precision in driving will guarantee bigger safety margins and a more comfortable ride for the driver and passengers.
